Managing Economic Trials Wisely
Rick Joyner
Friday, August 10, 2012

In this episode of Prophetic Perspectives, Rick Joyner encourages us to not waste our trials, especially the economic ones. We cannot put our trust in money instead of God. The degree to which we do so is the degree to which this trust will be shaken. Rick also speaks about how America was built by wealth and not riches. The founding fathers were rooted in Biblical principles and the economy was built on Kingdom economics. Let us use this time of economic shaking to build wealth and fruit for the Kingdom.

Regarding charities

18:44 I'd have to disagree with you and call into question the motives of both Bill Gates and Warren Buffet regarding the idea that they couldn't find a worthy charity and had to invent their own. There are too many great charities like World Vision that provide food and education for children in 3rd world countries to honestly make that claim. I'd say that Gates and Buffet didn't find any "charities" that fit their secular agendas. I dread to say it but I suspect that their philanthropy will be more of the flavour of John Rockefeller who successfully turned American schools into indoctrination centers so that American children would be better suited to work in his factories.

Re: The New Philanthropists

It would not surprise me that Bill Gates and Warren Buffet did not seek out a Christian charity. Sadly the few ministries that do mismanage their donations become big news and those great charities that genuinely effective and are wise stewards of their resources gets lumped in with the bad apples. This week I was reading in Haggai and I took issue with the Lord on verse 1:10 "Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew.." as I have been faithful in my tithes and offerings. The Lord had to remind me as in Joshua 7 that when it comes to Kingdom issues we are one corporate body with many members. He loves his church and bride and those that are righteous are to stand in the gap. I thank the Spirit always for leaders like Rick Joyner who boldly stand for the truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom. And I will give Bill Gates and Warren Buffet the benefit of the doubt that their motives were genuine but just like many of us who may start off in the Spirit, sometimes end up in the flesh. I kept an article from Time Magazine, July 24, 2000 and it was about the many multimillionaires of the technology boom now giving something back using the methods they learned as entreprenuers. It said, " that just as they transformed American business, members of this new generation are changing the way philanthropy is done. Most are very hands on. They do alot of research before giving and demand accountability and results".
