cash becoming worthless

Reminds me of the 80's era movie "Rollover". OPEC nations begin slowly and covertly converting all their US dollars into gold. At the end of the movie where their plan becomes known they panic and yank all their money out of US banks at once causing a worldwide monetary collapse. In protest people start burning their now worthless US dollars in front of the capitol.
