Job went through so much hardship, but spoke of a time when “God’s intimate friendship blessed my life.” We can cultivate an intimacy with God by focusing on the fear of the Lord, humility, engaging in dialog with God through the day, seeking Him in scripture, holding His confidence, and many other practical ways. We can also guard against interruptions to intimacy like busyness, storms, dry times, shame, and loneliness. He longs for intimacy with us more than we do. He is pulling us to Himself!
